So this is how birth happens….

As a trained Lamaze Birth Educator and Certified Lactation Counselor, I offer classes designed to help you and your support person feel calm, capable, and confident heading into birth and those first newborn days. My approach is practical, evidence-based, and always centered around you — your comfort, your choices, and your growing family.

What to Expect

Whether you’re planning a homebirth, hospital birth, or aren’t quite sure yet, this class will give you real-world tools for your experience. We’ll cover what’s actually helpful in labor, how your support person can make a difference, and what life looks like in those early weeks with a newborn.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Understand how your body and baby work together in the last weeks of pregnancy

  • Recognize the signs of labor and what to do in each stage

  • Use movement, breath, and position changes to stay more comfortable and keep labor progressing

  • Build confidence and connection as a support person or partner

  • Navigate the first hours after birth — from skin-to-skin bonding to newborn feeding

  • Prepare for postpartum recovery, rest, and emotional adjustment

  • Get off to a strong start with feeding support from a lactation counselor (that’s me!)

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end, you’ll feel ready — not because everything will go “perfectly,” but because you’ll know what to expect, what your options are, and how to make choices that feel right for you. You’ll have tools for comfort, coping, and connection, and you’ll leave feeling grounded and supported as you head into this new season.
